There are many more expensive restaurant options that could be sought out, places with nicer ambience, full alcohol bars, all sorts of conventional options. Nevertheless, Coco Curry House was what we were both craving. One order at spice #4, one at spice #7, chicken katsu, pork tonkatsu, and at least least ten addons between us.
On the way back to our apartment, we hit up one of our favorite spots in the electronic district, the Taito Station arcade. Crane games, Candy tower games, Rhythm games, Gashapons… We stayed until we heard the cheesy synthesizer version of “Auld Lang Syne” playing overhead.
Not much is open late on our side of town, but you can count on 7-11 for a drink & snack run on the way home…
About a 10-minute walk from the station, square, and main electronics district, there are a number of residential high-rise complexes near our building. The neighborhood stays quite busy, even late at night.
